Morton Modern Movers
The company has launched a campaign in memory of Lucy Morton by distributing books so young people can experience a world different than their own through reading. Since 2015 Morton Modern Movers has distributed in the Baltimore/DC region over 5000 books to African American children and teens from low-income families.
Family Our dedicated team draws upon decades of experience to create a unique moving experience customized just for you.
During the time Lucy Wade Morton was born; illiteracy was high among African-Americans. Very few schools and teachers with little to no reading or writing skills were available to school age children. Lucy accomplished what was nearly impossible for her parents and grandparents before her, she made sure her ten children learn how to read and write. Thus working together through education to build a community sponsored business that would span decades.
Moving families one generation at a time.
We become your support team for a unique moving experience.
With our home office in Baltimore, Maryland, we have satellite offices in the DC and Prince George's county region.
